Invisalign - Clear Braces
What is Invisalign®?
• Invisalign® is the invisible way to straighten your teeth without braces.
• Invisalign® uses a series of clear removable aligners to straighten your teeth without metal wires or brackets and with better long term results than conventional braces.
• Invisalign® has been proven effective in clinical research and in orthodontic practices nationwide. In fact, over 70% of all U.S. dentists are certified to treat patients with Invisalign®.
How Does Invisalign® Work?
• Each set of aligners is worn for about 2 weeks, removing them only to eat, drink, brush, and floss. Yes, the aligners are worn at night while sleeping.
• As you replace each aligner with the next in the series, your teeth will move - little by little, week by week - until they have straightened to the final position your dentist has prescribed.
• You'll visit your dentist about once every 6 weeks to ensure that your treatment is progressing as planned.
• Total treatment time averages 9-18 months and the average number of aligners worn during treatment is between 18 and 36, but both will vary from case to case.
Noble Biocare - Dental Implants
Nobel Biocare provides high quality dental implants. Nobel Biocare dental implants allow you to replace missing teeth with permanent dental implants – easily, quickly (many times in an hour) and comfortably.
With conventional treatment you have to wait for your implants to heal before teeth are placed, which can take months. Nobel Biocare dental implants provide you with new teeth right away. You may even be able to eat immediately after the treatment!

Laser Dentistry uses patented technology to perform a wide range of dental procedures on teeth, gums, and bone more comfortably. Typically when using the laser, dentists are able to use less anesthesia. This reduces patient anxiety and provides a more relaxing dental experience.
Heat, vibration and pressure are the primary causes of pain associated with the use of the traditional dental drill. Since cutting both hard and soft tissues with the laser does not generate heat, vibration or pressure, many dental procedures can be performed using less anesthesia. Additionally, using Laser Dentistry for gum procedures reduces bleeding, post-operative pain, swelling and the need for pain medication in many cases.

Dexis- Digital X-rays | Protective Thyroid Collars
Digital X-rays deliver immediate results. The patient and doctor are able to view films chair side, decreasing the length of the patient’s visit while broadening the patient’s understanding. Digital x-rays allow the patient to virtually comprehend the doctor’s explanation of treatments and recommendations.
Worried about exposure to x-rays? Worry not, as UAD uses protective x-ray aprons that include collars that also protect the thyroid.

3D CAT Scanning Technology
UAD offers its patients the highest standard of imaging and treatment planning through the use of its 3D CT Scan. In the past several years, CT Scanning technology has been developed specifically for dentists and is an excellent tool for accurately diagnosing dental treatments, implantology, endodontics and TMJ analysis.
CT scans have opened the door for patients with more complicated cases. The scan allows our dentists to immediately view data and dental images while the patient is chair-side. With this technology, UAD is able to bring patient visits to the next level, as your dentist will be able to walk you through your diagnosis or treatment plan by using this 3D imagery at the time of your appointment.
The scan shows the important anatomy of sinuses, nerves and arteries. For our implant patients, the 3D images will determine the precise position of where the implants will be placed. A special computerized guide is created to ensure this accuracy and is used during the actual surgery. 3D CT Scans partnered with our NobelBiocare Immediate Function technology, has made it possible for UAD to place implants and new teeth in one dental visit.
UAD recognized the value of 3D CT Scans early on and remains one of the few dental clinics that currently offers its patients this advanced technology. UAD does extend this service to dentists in the area, encouraging them to send their patients for a scan and for treatment planning.
UAD continues to strive to provide its patients with the most current and innovative diagnostic systems. One of which is our hygienists accurately probing teeth to detect gum disease.
What Causes Perio Disease?
Periodontal (gum) disease is an infection caused by bacteria that gets trapped on the teeth causing plaque buildup. Once this plaque hardens into calculus (tartar), it causes gums to become irritated and bleed - gingivitis. Over time the toxins in the plaque cause the supporting tissue and bone to break down - bone loss. This creates pockets between the tooth and the gum – Periodontal Disease. A periodontal probe is used to measure the depth of these pockets to determine the severity of periodontal disease and to determine the appropriate treatment for you.
What Happens If Left Untreated?
Perio Disease has been linked to:
• Increased rate of heart disease
• Respiratory Disease
• Preterm and low birth weight babies
• Early diagnosis is the key to maintaining your oral health and preventing serious systemic problems.
