Let’s be honest: even though a radiant smile dramatically improves the quality of your life, the thought of going to the dentist can be intimidating. That is why patient education is so important to us at University Associates in Dentistry. We walk you through the process, step by step, so that you can relax knowing what is going to happen and why. Having the facts at your fingertips takes the edge off any tension and sets your mind at ease.
At your complimentary consultation we will:
• Gather a full health history including dental concerns and conditions.
• Create a cosmetic dental treatment plan to achieve the results you want. We take as much time as you need to make sure you fully understand the options we recommend, so that you can make an educated choice about what is best for you. Our ability to provide quality dental patient education is of the utmost importance.
• Discuss dental treatment plan costs and financing possibilities for this lifelong investment.
It’s that simple!
Sometimes it is reassuring to talk to someone who has gone through the same procedures that you are about to. You can speak to some of our other patients, or even to staff members who have been treated in our office. Just let us know and we’ll arrange it for you.
When you’re ready to go ahead, we will plan a timetable for treatment that lets you show off your new smile as quickly as possible.
No matter what you need, it’s all here. UAD is a full-service dental office. Your recovery time is much faster because you don’t have to run from one dentist to another, re-telling your story and even repeating the same examinations. University Associates in Dentistry covers all your dental needs.
PRP Platelet-rich Plasma and Dentistry
PRP, (platelet rich plasma) is a fairly new approach to tissue regeneration and could be a valuable adjunct to promote healing in many procedures in dental and oral surgery, especially in aging patients. PRP derives from the centrifugation of the patient's own blood and it contains growth factors that can influence wound healing, thereby playing an important role in tissue repairing mechanisms. The use of PRP in surgical practice could have beneficial outcomes, reducing bleeding and enhancing soft tissue healing and bone regeneration. Studies conducted on humans have yielded promising, but mixed, results regarding the application of PRP to many dental and oral surgical procedures (i.e. tooth extractions, periodontal surgery, implant surgery). UAD encourages you to ask questions, if interested in PRP.
